Acceptable Use Policy
Guidelines for responsible use of the RanchPad platform.

1. Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) defines acceptable and prohibited uses of the RanchPad platform. By using RanchPad, you agree to comply with this policy. Violations may result in account suspension or termination.
2. Permitted Use
RanchPad is designed for legitimate farm and agricultural management purposes. Permitted uses include:
- Recording and managing livestock, crop, and paddock data
- Generating compliance reports and regulatory submissions
- Financial record-keeping and budget management
- Team collaboration and communication
- Integrating with approved third-party farming tools and services
- Using the API for authorised integrations within rate limits
3. Prohibited Activities
You must not use RanchPad to:
- Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent compliance data to regulatory authorities
- Store personal data of individuals without appropriate legal basis
- Attempt to access other users’ accounts or data without authorisation
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code
- Use automated scripts or bots to access the platform beyond published API limits
- Upload malicious files, viruses, or harmful code
- Use the platform for any activity that violates applicable laws
- Resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute RanchPad access without a partner agreement
- Overwhelm the service with excessive API requests or denial-of-service attacks
4. Account Responsibilities
- Keep login credentials secure and do not share accounts
- Use strong passwords and enable two-factor authentication where available
- Report unauthorised access immediately to security@ranchpad.co.nz
- Ensure all team members added to your organisation comply with this policy
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date contact information
5. API Usage
- API access is subject to published rate limits per subscription tier
- API keys must be stored securely and not exposed in client-side code
- Automated integrations must identify themselves with appropriate User-Agent headers
- Bulk data operations should use batch endpoints where available
6. Data Accuracy
Users are responsible for the accuracy of data entered into RanchPad. While we provide validation tools and AI-assisted checks, the platform does not guarantee the correctness of user-submitted data. Compliance submissions should be verified before being sent to regulatory authorities.
7. Enforcement
RanchPad reserves the right to:
- Investigate suspected violations of this policy
- Suspend or terminate accounts that violate this policy
- Remove content that violates this policy
- Report illegal activities to appropriate law enforcement authorities
We will endeavour to provide reasonable notice before taking enforcement action, except where immediate action is required to protect the platform or other users.

If you become aware of any violation of this policy, please report it to abuse@ranchpad.co.nz.
